Welcome

We study the physics of correlated electron systems under extreme conditions.
The aim is to better understand physical phenomena such as unconventional superconductivity, metal-insulator transition, competition between different electronic states and Dirac cone related physics.

Our team has the quite unique possibility to modify and therefore control the physical properties of materials tuning various parameters that can be simultaneously coupled :

  • The chemical formula
  • The hydrostatic pressure (0 - 3GPa)
  • The temperature (0.03 - 500K)
  • The magnetic field (0 - 14/16 Tesla)

We use several experimental probes :

  • Resistivity
  • Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)
  • thermopower
  • sound velocity and attenuation
  • impedance measurements
  • pyroelectricity
